Ebola Vaccine Clinical Trial

This study will test a new Canadian investigational vaccine to protect against Ebola virus which is affecting thousands of people in Western Africa. About 40 healthy adults will be enrolled in this study at the Canadian Center for Vaccinology, located at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax. This randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled study will measure the safety and tolerability of this experimental vaccine, as well as the body’s infection-fighting response to the vaccine. Participants in the study will receive either the investigational vaccine or a placebo. Participants CANNOT get infected by the Ebola virus from this vaccine.
